Wallace H. (Wally) Hagin was a photographer and leader of Spokane's Black community. The collection consists of his work as a professional photographer as well as the personal collection of the Hagin family from their days in Butte and Great Falls, Montana, to later decades in Spokane. The Spokane portion documents much of the social life of Spokane blacks: church activities, music, professions, recreation, clubs and family life over a span of years. Many photographs relate to Hagin's mother, Irene (Fagan) Hagin and to family friend, the Rev. Emmett Reed of Spokane's Calvary Baptist Church, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

1000 Photographs : bxw (some col.) ; various sizes.
